Hampton Bay fan and lighting co.-customer service
I moved to my townhouse 10 years ago and my Hampton Bay ceiling fan (with light) was already there. I have enjoyed it very much. But now, the fan or light goes on and off and the remote is not working with them. I have changed the battery to no avail. I have been looking for a remote like the one I have and I cannot find it. The code inside is CHQ8BT7030T. Where can I get one? If this model is too old, what other remote can I use? LITEX has one identical to mine RC-103 RC103 Universal Ceiling Fan Remote but I don't know if this will work with my fan. Please HELP! I am exhausted searching the web. You are my last resort. Thank you!

Sorry for the delay in responding.
I know this may sound dumb, but if your remote has switch settings, change one switch from on to off. And then change the same switch on the receiving unit. More than likely, you have a new neighbor or a neighbor that has a fan operating on the freq. as yours. Changing the switch setting is a quick and easy way to eliminate some one else triggering your fan. |

Light Fixture in Fan/Light died I have had my Hampton BaymFan/Light up for over 9 months. The lights seemed to fizzle/blink, then died - bulbs are fine. The fan works just fine. I removed the light fixture and did not see any thing like a fizzled wire. Suggestions?
I have a Hampton Bay ceiling fan model ac552a, remote only operated. My problem is the fan turns very slowly in the low speed( two to three rpm) the medium speed is OK and the high speed is the same as the medium speed. I tried a different remote but it didn't help.
Ceiling fan brookdale model 761-567 only runs on low and med when high is selected by the remote it runs at med but makes a clicking sound. Is it the motor or the controller? Can it be tested?
