    City damage to tree.
    A couple months ago my car skid on ice on a curve.the car then appointed a full 180 degrees an knocked down a tree owned by the city. Today I just more got a letter in mail about an accident. I Am curious to know how it will cost me for the damage done to the tree. The tree was a small skinny tree in the sidewalk.

    How about calling the city? We have no idea where you live and what the charges might be.

    Did you not have automotive liability insurance? If you did, your insurance company should pay the claim for damages to the tree. Just be sure you notify them of the claim.

    What did the letter say? I'm surprised it didn't just list the cost.
