    Tree damage
    There is a Linden Tree on my block that has a condition, whereby the bark has been stripped in a patch or two, small insects can be seen underneath the bark and one patch has has a small cut into the trunk. It does not appear to be Asian Beetle, but I am not an expert. Does anyone know? I would like to treat the tree if necessary. There is a photo attached.

    My old computer doesn't resolve you pic very well - I can't tell if you show the bugs. I'd contact my local Agricultural Extension Ofc. They should have info on tree infesting insects in your area. If you want to try and ID it yourself, try the following link (it may take a while getting through it all):
