    York indoor blower motor
In trying to wire in a single phase 230v 3 speed motor with the 3 speeds being black-hi, blue-med and red-low I got those figured since I'm using red low heat and black high cooling. White-common is what I'm having problems with, brown w/white stripe and brown is to my start cap plus green for ground. Where should I place my common white wire.

Are you certain this is a 230v motor? Is this an electric furnace, or gas? If the motor you are trying to install is indeed 230v, you may have the wrong motor. Odds are the motor that came out of the unit was 120v. If so, you will need a 120v motor for replacement.
