Hello,

I'm trying to adjust my shower to allow the water to get hotter. I'm not sure what type of faucet I have, there is no brand name on it. I've attached a picture of it, sorry for the poor quality.

When I take the handle off I don't see the plastic valve thing that most people are saying should be there. It's just a brass bit and a plastic bit. I've attached a picture of this as well.

Is there a way to adjust this type of faucet?

Does that brass thing with the two wings fit on a splined shaft? If it does you have to reindex it so the shaft part turns further left than it does now before it hits the plastic stop. Basically you reclock it in the shaft further clockwise.

It looks like its full cold as it is now. Is this one you pull out to turn on and left/right to adjust temprature?

Smoothy nailed it: Toss that brass nut with wing pointing to 7 o'clock and you get maximum hot water. Sometimes you can even remove that white "stop" on 9 o'clock. Back to you. Milo
