    Loreal hair color remover?
I dyed my hair black about 6 weeks ago and hated it because only the middle of the hair turned black, not the ends or roots. Now I want to remove the color and dye it a dark brown. Will I need a hair color remover for this? I have been using a deep conditioner because my hair was really dry. Should I get the dry ends cut off?

To remove the color I heard of Loreal Colorzap but I can't find it anywhere but Amazon and I don't have a credit card. I saw loreal has another item just called Loreal Hair Color Remover. Does this work well and how many applications will I need for black to brown? I have only dyed my hair 2 times in the past year if that helps.

Sweetie, black hair dye is the hardest color to remove. Hair color removal products will not completely remove black hair dye from the hair. Since you want to go from a level 1 (black) to just a level 3 (dark brown), you can use a 30-volume peroxide developer and your selected hair color with a neutral base in equal parts to achieve results. You will find these products at a beauty supply store.

You can totally use that loreal colour remover I've used it before on a client and it has went from a black to a blonde in 25 minutes. And her hair is healthy and in great shape. I love this product and using it so much it is safe to use it with black hair. Just make sure you use 30 volume with it. I purchase mine from sallys, if you have one where you live that would be helpful.
