    2 wire thermostat
I have 2 wires yellow and red and I am trying to change my thermostat to a digital one but can only get it to cut on and off for heat. Can someone please help. I called Honey well and they only made me very mad. The letters are Rc, R, Y, C, W and G. I have an old system there is a place where the compressor( I think that is what it is ) is at in my hall where that has 2 button one to put on heat or cool the other for on or off. Please help!!

With 2 wires you only have heat or cool, not both, need new wiring. Did you have air? Heat?

Some old Coleman heaters were 2 wire, heat and AC were controlled at the unit, not the thermostat-I believe.

If I remember correctly, some of the Miller/Intertherms were the same way.

I'm not sure of the wire placement. I have a black and white wire attached to my old thermostat. The new thermostat has attachments labeled G, RC, Rh, Y/O, W/B, Y1. There is a jumper connecting RC and RH. Do I connect the black wire to RH and the white wire to W/B? Any help would be greatly...
