    Mower deck on John deer LX172 would not engage, then did and after being turned off w
    Mower deck on my John Deere LX172 would not engage. After cleaning and blowing dust out, it started and I ran it for 8 minutes and then turned off and it would not turn back on.
    Is it the PTO switch?

    Hi,
    It is a good bet that it is the switch or the clutch.
