Nurse fetish
I have a nurse fetish but it don't have nothing to do with sex. I have been in and out of medical institutions most of my life and all my past relationships have been with nurses is there a name for this?

Yes, it's called "I only date nurses."
I have a friend with a fetish called "I only date married men."
At any rate, why do you need a "name" for only dating nurses? I don't understand the problem (I guess).
Now, if you're asking if you have personal issues my guess would be that you do - whether you look at nurses as mother figures or something else. Is that what you are asking?

Or, "I date only nurses"?
Only date or only nurses?
(Yeah, yeah, picky, I know. But if he only dates them, that means he doesn't sleep with them?)

Perhaps both - he dates only nurses, and only dates them.
I don't see this as a fetish. I'd call it a strong preference. Unless you go your whole life this way. We don't know how old you are.

To me it doesn't sound like a fetish, it sounds more like an obsession. You only date them, you have stated it's not sexual. If it's not sexual, can it really be considered a fetish?
I think this is along the lines of people that have an obsession with acting like, and being treated like, a baby. It's not a sexual thing, it's something they feel a need to do because something was missing from their formative years.
The OP states that he spent much of his life in medical institutions. I'm guessing that because of that, nurses became a mother figure. To me it sounds like the baby fetish thing. It's a way to get back something you feel you missed out on as a child. Nurses, to the OP, became mother figures.
But this is just a guess. I'm no psychologist. I would recommend one for the OP.

Well, it's 2 who disagree at the moment but OP states all of his dates have been nurses. He only dates nurses.
"Only" in this case modifies dates.
I think he dates "only" nurses is awkward and incorrect.
Of course, that's my opinion and I will contact my College and ask that my tuition be refunded to me on the grounds they gave half an education.

If he dates "only nurses," he does not date secretaries or strippers or librarians or private investigators, et al.
If he "only dates," he doesn't do other stuff (verbs) with them. "Only dates" = "only" modifies the verb, whereas in "only nurses," "only" modifies whom he dates.

Nurses must be the kind of people you can relate to the best and, yes, who understand what you have been through. Like, I hang out with cat people, not dog people, probably for a similar reason.

I'm a nurse and I know plenty of nurses who will only date cops. I don't see why dating people of a certain profession is a problem or a fetish.

It is not a fetish first of all, it is most likely just happens, if you are around nurses, you know them and easy to talk to them.
We date people we know, and can meet easy.

Yes, that's my understanding.
How does this work? He does not date anyone who is not a Nurse. That's what I think he's saying.
I still want a refund of my tuition.
