Hello everyone,

I need some help! I just bought a house built in 1969 in which the previous owner merely updated the bathroom by putting new tile leaving all existing plumbing fixtures. The clear plastic handles that look original, have cracked and no longer turn the water on and off. I went to several home centers and plumbing stores and bought 9 different replacement handle sets, but none of them fit. The white plastic "stem?" is square and these were all rounded-
Brought the old handles to a specialty store and they were baffled. The old handles are lableled with "f" for cold and "c" for hot, no indication of the brand anywhere. I hope to replace the handles only without taking the whole part out, I would not be able to match these tiles. If anyone has a suggestion of a manufacturer, please let me know!!

Not sure if this helps but the "c" for hot could be spanish caliente, hot. Don't know of any square parts though.

May be Central/Souith American or Spanish. "Frio" means cold & "calor" means hot. Try the south or Central American eBay forum, if you are daring or desperate. You will need to know some Spanish to register. Bueno suerte amigo!

The stem or cartridge tip may be distorted by the universal handles. You may have to replace them to be able to use the correct handle.
