    Relinquishing his rights.
My sons father does not pay child support the way he is supposed to. He hasn't seen my son in over a year and doesn't care to see him. Is there an inexpensive way to get him to give up his rights? I have been quoted prices any where from 5000-10000 to get it done. Please help!

Even if he signs over he's rights, more than likely, he will still have to pay current and back child support.

First no, he can just give them up, why does he have to sign anything at all. He does not have to visit, ( you can't force him to) he does not have to decide things in the child's life) he can just not do anything, and he has given up those rights,

If he is not paying child support property, go to court and make him, giving up his rights has nothing to do with his obligation to pay child support, he still has to pay child support even if he gives up his rights, unless a new step parent is there to adopt.

And it should be closer 1000 or less for a paper to be written and filed with family court to give up rights. Now this is assumeing he wants to give up his rights, the 10,000 is assuming he wants to keep his rights and you are trying to force him to give them up
