    Ask an USA accountant free
I am being bought out of a rent stabilized apartment. Can I have the payment made out to my mother - who is a senior. I was told that seniors would not have to pay the capital gains taxes? She also lives with me but is not on the lease. Can I have the landlord payy me in cash to avoid the tax issue.

If I have the check made out to the lawyer will he incur penalties? Can I have it made out to a friend who is a senior?

    Thank you.

Just pay your taxes... they are owed.

    You can't avoid them.

    Smoothy is being nice.

Everything you are talking is TAX FRAUD. People go to jail for that.
