    Claiming moving expenses
    I relocated to Vermont from Florida, Reason being I have Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. I wanted my wife to be closer to family if I take a turn for the worse. My daughter & her family reside nearby. Can I claim my moving exspenses?

    If you got a new job in Vermont, yes.

    Otherwise, no.

    I don't think so; sorry for that. If you moved to start a new job, or to seek work in a new city, then, you may be able to deduct the cost of your moving expenses from your income.
