Hi, I have not had a period since November 10th, 2012 and it is now March 6th, 2013. I have been to the doctor several of times now and they have done pregnancy test and they all came back negative. (the last one I had was done in early January) He did blood work and checked my thyroid and blood sugar and all kinds of levels and he said everything came back normal. I just went to the Dr on Monday March 4th and I asked him to do an ultrasound because I have been getting bad cramps only on my right side and endrometriosis (sp) and ovarian cysts run in my family. He told me he wanted to wait to see if I got my period this month and if I didn't he would give me progesterone to try to start my period and if that didn't work then he would do an ultrasound. I am on birth control and my periods are like clockwork. The only time I did not have my period was when I was pregnant with my daughter. I just feel like I am not being taken serious and he is blowing this off. Please help

I am sorry about what you are going through. Be firm with your Doctor let him know about your family history and your concerns, and If He still wants to wait ir do something else, get a second opinion. Hope everything works out for you.

Go to another doctor. This one sounds like an idiot.

Endometriosis can definitely mess with your cycle and so can ovarian cysts. Both can be treated effectively with medications and surgical options depending on what is best for you.

Thank you I am going to call around to get a second opinion. I am just worried something is wrong and want to know what is wrong.
