    Hi Rumphlet

    There is point of use water heaters just for showers... called electric power showers (see image). These are NOT popular here in the USA and may not even be allowed by code in your area, but the answer to your question is, Yes, they make these... ;)

    What Mark is showing is quite common in Central America and Europe. I used one in Guatemala but with the exposed wires I was always afraid of electrocuting myself. This one screwed on the wall tube.
