    Can college student claim Michigan rented homestead?
    I am a Michigan resident who has been renting off campus housing year round. Can I claim Michigan Rented Homestead?

    If it makes a difference I am also filing as a dependent.

    Probably NOT if you are a dependent on someone else's return.
