    Hunter fan connection trouble shooting
Connecting a new Hunter Fan and replacing an old one. Green ground to green ground, white to white, black to black, red ceiling wire to black/white striped wire. Using only one wall switch which, when tested, controls the new ceiling light in the fan perfectly.. . I just can't get the fan to spin when the light is on or off. Should I forget the red ceiling wire and connect the black/white striped wire to black also?

    Thanks

That red wire coming from the ceiling box tells me there may be a second switch or a 3 way switch. Is that possible, what was up there before, a light and fan?
