Carrier furnace
I have a carrier furnace that is ten years old. The last couple of days the heater has been turning on and off and temperature set never reach. The cycle was shorter and the heater was on and off one cycle continuous with the next. We look at the LED light and it wasn't flashing any code. We figure it's the filter problem because it was dirty and it was installed in the wrong direction. I wonder if this is it and if there is any things could cause short cycling ? We also replace new batter in the thermostat and all the connection to the thermostat is in place. After changing the filter... the cycle is longer and have short break in between. However... at night... it keeps running though!

My carrier infinity gas furnace goes on and off mmany times before it reaches the set temp. It has a two stage blower motor. The unit is only three years old. Board and thermostat have been replaced.More intake ducts added. None of this helps
I have a 58rav115-16 caarrier unit. Lst week I replaced a suspected bad draft limit switch(code31) ran fine after. This morning I got up and the blower was running but it would not ignite. I switched to emergency heat and received a code31. I bypassed the draft switch and was able to get the them....
My Furnace Is Not Working. I Do Have 24 Volts And When I Turn My T-stat To Heat The Igniter Lights ,I Have A Small Flame But The Gas Valve Doesn't Seem To Be Working. No Heat. Just Flame
I am looking at furnace for a friend. The furnace will come on with that small fan and the pilot will light. However, the burner will not catch. This unit has a igniter I suspect that the igniter is bad. Is there any way to test it?
