    Empire heaters troubleshooting
    I have an empire gas wall furnace (60,000 BTU) It will light and the main burner comes on for a second or two then goes out and does this over and over. I replaced the thermostat but nothing changed any sugestions.

    Try cleaning the ignition/pilot components with emory cloth. Oxidation can impede the current from developing that is needed to keep the valve open.
