Rage when waking up
Hello, I am 24 and I have outbursts of anger and rage every time after I wake up . It has nothing to do with my sleeping patterns , as it happens with or without enough sleep . Usually id wake up in the morning and get mad and start yelling at my parents for no reason.id get very emotional , and sometimes find myself crying and screaming at them .I've called them names, said the worst and most hateful things to them . Usually , when I get up ,I go online and read my twitter timeline , and for no reason I develop this hatred towards people I know and don't know.Even my boyfriend gets hung up and yelled on the phone most mornings . The littlest things like when he asks me to repeat a sentence can get me so angry ,to the extent of feeling like punching something really hard . When I get out from the house ,I try to calm myself down , and later ill feel bad and regretted what happened .ill apologise later . Friends at work realise id be very moody in the morning and that I refuse to talk to anyone , even a good morning reply is just too difficult for me to say . It'll take 1-2 hours for me to really start my day "normally" as all the rage and moodiness goes away.I use to think that this was just the fact that I'm not a morning person, but then I just realised it's not normal at all. Every morning I have to face this .
I need help.

You do not know it is not a sleep issue unless you have had sleep studies done. Including perhaps blood work done upon waking.
But what about a change in routine, stop getting online when you wake up ( at 24 why are you still living at home with parents ?)
But get up, and go out for a jog for a hour or so, before coming home, showing and getting ready for work.

I forgot to state that I'm from malaysia ,and as the only child at home , I won't move out until I'm married.
Well, that's not the point . The issue is about my raging mornings . I've always been throwing tantrums since I was a kid .
Now , its about my anger in the mornings.I hate hurting the people I love, but I don't think I can help myself now as I need some help or suggestions from others who know. I'm a fulltime actress ,always given heavy characters .I hope this has nothing to do with my job.

You could have a genuine neurological problem, such as a form of epilepsy or Tourette's, or a childhood head injury, or something nameless that is based on the brain activity upon awakening. I have a feeling that it might be hard to diagnose unless you can get to a large medical center, especially one associated with a university, where they are more willing to do studies. You could see a doctor locally, who could at least arrange a 'waking EEG' in which you have to stay awake all night and have the EEG in the morning. Or both a waking EEG and one as soon as you wake up. There are medications for various brain disorders of this sort.
I would do some testing on yourself so that you have more to tell the doctors. I would stay awake all night, would sleep 4 hours, and would try other sleep schedules such as 2 hours of sleep and 1 hour awake, and keep careful notes of how you feel after each night.
