    Signs of autism
Hi! I'm Emily, I have a daughter Madison she is 15 months old. This is driving me crazy she is having signs of autism and what makes me think that is someone asked if she was. Can you please tell me what are the signs. I'm really worried to her. She is not talking and says no words that she knows the meanings to. She also bangs her head off walls and hits herself in face/head.

There are many different spectrum's when it comes to Autism. In other words, it's not one size fits all, one set of issues fits all.

It's not something that can be diagnosed online, or by a parent. If this is a fear, the first person to talk to would be your doctor. If he/she feels there's something to your fear he/she will refer you to a specialist.

Giving you a list of possible symptoms will not do you any good, especially since those symptoms can be attributed to many other disorders.

    See your doctor.

I've been trying to make her a dr app I was just adding everything up and seeing what other things it could be. But thanks for your input just her dr is going to take a long time to get into. So I was just seeing if she's got the symptoms of it and how will they test for it?

Autism isn't easily diagnosed, especially at her age. There are many other things that could be going on, and they have to rule out everything. That's why I really recommend seeing your doctor. You know your child best, and if you feel that there's something going on, getting it checked, and getting in to see a specialist now, will only help further down the road, if there is a problem.

I do have to say, a 15 month old baby that doesn't have a large vocabulary, doesn't ring any bells of warning to me. But like I said, this is your child, you know her best. If you're concerned, you won't find answers online, you'll only find them with a doctor.

    Good luck.

She can be having all sorts of issues or medical problems, to try and label it without proper testing would not be proper.
