Is there a piezoelectric pilot kit available for my old coleman furnace
I have a mfg. home with a Coleman propane furnace that uses a White Rogers 36C67 type 189, 24 volt 60HZ gas valve. Is there a piezoelectric pilot kit to update from my old standing pilot which blows our frequently? I got a lot of help from this forum and category a couple years ago. Thanks.

No, sorry, no conversions for this. Your best bet is to find out what is causing the pilot to blow out. If high winds are a factor, you could look into high wind vent cap.

Thank you. Yes we are having high winds lately. There is a vent cap that will help? Will it be easy for a do it yourself layman?

I would suggest visiting a local pluming/hvac shop and asking them about a high wind vent top for a colemen furnace.

I'm not sure it is the wind. Don't think there is any wind sometimes and it goes out anyway. Do the orifices of the pilot gas ever get to need changing?

If the pilot seems a little weak where it hits the thermocouple the pilot orifice may need to be cleaned. I use a very fine sewing needle to clean the tiny hole in the pilot orifice. Make sure not to enlarge the actually metal of the hole, just clean out any buildup in it. You just as well change the thermocouple out while your in there, they are cheap. If these things don't cure the problem, you may have a heat exchanger or vent problem (hope not).
