    Treadmill trips breaker
    I have 15 amp treadmill which kept on tripping the bedroom circuit breaker.I changed the bedroom 15 amp circuit breaker to 20 amps.the problem is solved.is it safe to do that.any fire hazard?

    NO, it is absolutely not safe to do that. Why would you do this in the first place?

    Breakers are sized to the wire, not the load. You can't simply put in a bigger breaker.

    You need to run a new 20A circuit for this treadmill.

    Stan nailed it.

    What you did can cause a fire. If you do have a fire and the changed breaker was the cause, your insurance can and will probably refuse to pay.

    Don't use this circuit until you correct it.

    In the meantime, why don't you try plugging the treadmill in somewhere else on another circuit, or take another appliance on that circuit and put in somewhere else; too many appliances on one circuit could be causing your overload. Make sure you put the 15 amp breaker back.
