I went to work and was crying and started to have panic attacks... hyperventilated and calmed myself down... I was very tired since they drove up my hours and the holidays. I worked through everything and went back today and did just fine after getting some rest on thanksgiving. I worked all day then I was told I was fired because of my medical... panic attack that day. I worked through it. If I was a risk, why did they let me work today and not fire me immediately. No they had great work from me and one day I cried and hypoventalated away from customers. Can I get disability if a job fires me for panic attacks? Will I ever find work with this as a cause for firing. I'
Ve never been fired before. Thank you for reading through my rambling. I think I'm going to go cry myself to sleep now because christmas is canceled now.

Panic attacks are horrible, I've had them myself, one at work. The thing is, I'm not sure it's considered a disability. Obviously it doesn't stop you from working, which is your argument, that you can and do do this job, even though you suffer from panic attacks. So how are you disabled? You're not.

They really don't have to justify when they fired you. They can fire you whenever they want, for whatever reason. Is it a nice thing to do? No. Is it legal? Yes.

I would try to find a job that's less stressful. I'm assuming you work in retail? It's a very stressful job. For someone that suffers from panic attacks, it's not ideal. Look for a job that's less stressful. If asked why you were let go from your last job, tell the truth, or don't even mention this last job on your resume.

Last but not least, get help dealing with your panic attacks.

Thanks... I'm not really sure what was it.. all I know is it's probably caused by stress. I'm keeping my head up and going to keep tyring. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger. I'm goinna to work on an outlet so I don't explode with tears and do it the correct and theraputic way.
