Problem between my Parents and me (hardly need an advice from a Parents)
Hi, I am 19 years old, Full time worker. My parents is always at my side supporting me. But I am a big mess and a trouble I admit.

I have been lying to my parents since June this year about having a Provisional License even though I am still on my Phase 2 Permit. They even help me to buy my new brand new car as they're the ones who pay for my Insurance $280 per month. I drive alone, and they have no idea that I only have a permit.
The police caught me, and now I have to go to the court in 2 weeks, they knew that I got pulled over for not displaying a "P" and not carrying a license.. But the truth is I got caught for driving alone. Now we have to go to the court I don't know how to tell the truth to them, How will I start? As I feel really bad and guilty :(

Plus, I am so much in trouble, I am so guilty. My parents knew that I already finished a 2 years course on TAFE and can go to UNI by next year February. They always pay Half of my study. But everything is gone, inside of 2 years I ddnt go to Tafe, I focus on my Work & now I am a manager at Restaurant and I am only 19. Instesd of going tafe back then , I always work instead. They are expecting me to go to UNI next year February but I only finish year12.

Please tell me everything you want to say, I am so much in guilty right now and I cry for thinking all the stupid things I have done to them. I thought I can handle this alone and make my situation right, but everything gone worst..

    Please give me an advice.
    Thanks so much.

Anon, let me start by asking the country you are from and go from there? You are not the US or Canada. Knowing what nationality you are may help us better explain or suggest what you need to do.

You will just have to tell them the truth, they will find it out anyway. It will be better from you.

Yes they will be mad, yes they will be hurt.

You are a adult, you made your own choices, and have to live up to them.

You have achieved the work position as restaurant manager, so that sounds like something you like to do. Will this become a career? You can always go to school --most unis have weekend and evening and even online classes. The difficult part will be the driving problem. Like Chuck said, tell your parents now yourself so they don't hear about it from someone else.

First, you DO want advice from other parents, because they can tell you how they would feel from experience.

To me this seems a fairly minor fib. You seem like a pretty level headed person so I really don't see your parents being really mad at you. Maybe a little disappointed. But I suspect they will stand by you. So tell outright. Apologize for deceiving them.

Mr. Fr Chuck thanks for the response.

If you know how asian gets mad, It will be hard to tell them the truth. As my Dad works @ BHP Billiton as a Consultant and He wanted me to work too at his Company when I graduated.

He doesn't want me to focus on my Career right now as a Manager, I am doing a 5 days course this 1st week of December that I can be qualified to be a 2nd Assistant in the future. But my doesn't want dad an he wants me to be a fully qualified Accountant. Which is I don't really like. If I tell them that I don't like to be an Accountant and tell them that I want to focus on my career right now, theyd be like "You still live with us so you should do what we want for you as that course is high demand here at Australia"

These are the things that are really hard to tell them and convience them, plus when they know the truth about me lying about the license. They will be so angry at me.
