Am I pregnant and the doctors know nothing of what they are talking about?
I believe (STRONGLY) that I am pregnant but all my test seem to come back negative. I had my last regular menses July 19th 2012. Had sex right after I went off for about 2 weeks. August 16th 2012 was supposed to be my next cycle which on the 17th I only spotted once. I took a HPT and it came back faint positive. I then went to the doctor to take a test (urne & blood( both came back negative. Mind you, I have been having pregnancy symptoms from the beginning of August until now. I never have these symptoms during my menses. I only get 1 migraine and my lower back hurts during and before my menses. My symptoms consist of Nausea, gas, sore breast, fatigue, feelings of butterlies or popcorn in my belly, etc. In September 3,2012, I spotted for 5 days (lightly) and bled hard for 2 (heavy no clots). October 5th 2012, I had somewhat of a regular period but it only lasted 3 days (heavy little bits of clots) then it stopped. November 2nd 2012, I spotted for a day then bled heavy for 2 then stopped (no clots). I still feel pregnant. Now I have extreme gas. My stomach is growing still and I eat like thefood is going to disappear from the earth tomorrow (ALOT). The doctor did a exam where he pushed on my lower abdomen and it hurt. I do have fibroids but they are tiny. I don't recall fibroids making you go through these symptoms. I never had a cyst on my ovaries or anything. I know my body quite well. I strongly believe I am pregnant especially when I feel flutters in my belly and when I press on my side I feel it like sort of turn or move away. My aunt did the same by pressing and my belly and she told me she felt something there also. I am not crazy. I just canno get answers on why my test come back negative and no one wants to give me an ultrasound to make sure I am or am not pregnant. I have had a mscarriage at the age 23. I am 32 now. Can you give me a reason on why I feel pregnant but test keep coming back negatve?

Countless women feel signs of pregnancy for all sorts of reasons: hormones off regular cycle and out of balance with each other, (early) menopause, stress, fibroids, or even pregnancies with spontaneous abortions. You could also be subconsciously wishing you are pregnant. Phantom pregnancy is a very real and convincing condition.
Also, we don't know your health history or how often you have sex and with what protection.

Yes, of course there are women who don't test positive and who have light periods and who are pregnant anyway. They are rare. Tell the doctor you will pay for the ultrasound out of pocket but want insurance to pay if you are pregnant. That should solve this once and for all.

    Blood tests are pretty accurate.

I would pay for an ultrasound. That's really the only way to get to the bottom of this.

Tests, even blood tests, can be wrong. It happens, human error plays a big part.

I'm not saying that you are pregnant, but if you continue to believe that you are, and all the tests are negative, then demand an ultrasound to find out once and for all. An ultrasound at this stage (if you are pregnant you'd be 4 months along), would be definitive.

Either that or treat yourself as if you're pregnant, don't drink, don't smoke, take your prenatal vitamins. If you are, you'll know for sure in around 5-6 months. :)
