Pregnant IUD in and Doctors CANT find it
OK so the story is short, I have been on the IUD for 19 months now.
A couple of months ago my IUD was giving me problems even making me think I was pregnant so I went to the doctor and they tucked the strings back around to make sure it was in place, well everything was going good for about 3 months then I just found out that I'm pregnant with the IUD still in so I thought only problem is they can't find it.
So my question is is this dangerous for my baby and what could have happened to it?

Well you definitely need to find out (call a Doctor) I would think it could be a problem. Worst case scenario they could do a X-ray, or ultra sound to find it.

they did an ultrasound and couldn't find it, my doctor said my body could have rejected it and it fell out but I haven't seen it because if I had it would have been fixed, is an x ray dangerous when your pregnant?

Yeah an x-ray could be. You know they are very small. I think about the size of your pinkie nail. Oh but congrats on the baby.

Thanks so much, it wasent a planned one as we already have three but every baby is a gift.
I'm just worried that this could make me miscarry if its lost somewhere in me.

Your body more than likely rejected it. I know this is an old post, have you been to the doctor recently to find out what happened?
The doctor said if your body rejects the IUD it is usually during your first period after getting it. Had you been checking regularly for the strings?

Then went on birthcontrol pills not long after and got pregnant again, I guess I don't have good luck with birth control, but after this one I'm getting the tubes tied so I won't have to worry about this happening again

Awww I'm sorry :( That has to be a terrible thing to go through.
Has this changed your thoughts about the IUD at all? The risk of miscarriage is high if you happen to get pregnant while on it, and its not ectopic.

I liked the pills all right, I just constantly forgot to take them. Then I got on Depo. Big mistake! That is the worst birth control I've ever been on.
I just hope I have good luck with my IUD.

Honestly it wasent my favorite or my least favorite I have been on the pill, the patch, and the IUD.
My favorite was probely the patch, with the IUD it seemed like I was ALWAYS having problems, I had to have the strings cut 5 times, if it wasent poking my husband it was scraping my insides, also after my daughter was born was when I had it inserted I started having really bad panic attacks serious enough where I thought I was depressed, at first I just thought it was the shock of having the baby but after a year and a half of constantly having them I thought it was me but I have noticed that since the IUD came out I haven't had any panic attacks, so I STRONGLY believe it was the cause of the IUD.
I don't want to discouarge anyone about this form of birth control, it's a great source for many women it just wasent right for me.

I have heard the patch can cause problems too. I guess it just all depends on your body and how it reacts to different things. My body reacted terrible to the Depo. I blew up like the goodyear blimp, and I would go 3-4 months without having a period, and then when I had one it lasted a month. It was ridiculous.
