    Waltec shower knob
I am trying to remove a Waltec 20 single shower knob. I am down to the threaded nylon part that is attached to the back brass ring. What do I do from here, does the nylon part screw out of the brass ring or does that brass ring get screwed off? Neither part seems anxious to separate from where they currently are attached.

Is there a trick to removing the control knob in shower. I know there is a cover plate, I just can't figure out how to pop it off. Do I need a special tool to get that plastic cover off. I tried a flathead screwdriver, but the tip is too fat.
