    Severe back pain
    I just found out I'm pregnant about 10 days ago. I'm about 4-5 weeks. I'm having really bad back pains but only on my lower back on the right side. It hurts to be hugged, to sit, and lay down on that side. Is this normal or should I be concerned ?

    Back pain during pregnancy does happen, but usually not until you're further along. The extra weight, the way you stand when you're very pregnant, does cause back discomfort.

    At this early stage in your pregnancy I don't think the back issues are being caused by the pregnancy. See your doctor about this.
