    Switches
    I have a power 12/2 power wire and a another 12/2 wire in one box. They have to be wired together before the one with the single wire will work how can I make a switch work on both ends. I have a single 12/2 single wire in the other

    In the switch boxes u need 12/3 cable. To make a 3 way system work u need a hot(black), neutral(white) and traveler(red).

    OK, your description of the circuit makes no sense. Here is what I understood you to say you have:

    1) you have one supply cable coming into a junction box.
    2) there is a second cable in that junction box that travels to a second junction box where
    Light #2 is and there is light #1.

    If that is correct, then are you asking how to configure one switch to operate both lights or are you asking for hrlp setting up two switches to operate both lights at the same time?
