    I turned the shut off valve to replace the flapper now there is no water what can I

    My name is Jeanne I replaced the flapper on my toilet now the water will not turn back on. What can I do ? Thanks for any help

    Hello Cameron,

    It may be the shut off valve or the fill valve, to isolate the problem close the shut off valve disconnect the supply live at the bottom of the tank place the supply line in a pan open the shut off line if no water the problem is with the supply line or the shut off valve, if there is water problem is with your fill valve, if you respond to Tom question we will tell you how to flush or repair the fill valve, Thanks.

    Another method would be to shut the water off at the angle stop and remove the three screws on top of the ballcock, pull the stem and float ball out of the way , place a pan over the top and turn the water back on . Do you have a strong stream? Let me know, Tom
