    Toilet flushes when showering
I took a shower, not a long one either. Once I was done the toilet flushed.. I heard the gurgling sound from the toilet. What could have caused this? And should I call the plumber to run a line through the pipes?

Probably a leaking flapper in the toilet that just happened to flush. Put some food coloring in the tank and see if the bowl becomes colored. If so, replace the flapper and also make sure the flapper seat is smooth.

It's happened more than once, it's just real seldom when it does occur.. the tub stopped up a couple weeks ago and as I was plunging it the toilet was making noises too. I imagine the 2 are connected some where. I tried to snake the tub with a cheap-o snake but I couldn't get it to turn around the bends.
Do you still think it's the flapper?

    Thanks!

Could be a vent blockage too, but toilets only flush when the water falls in the tank. If the flapper is good, you could empty the bowl and the toilet wouldn't flush. Try the food coloring test.

Open the toilet lid and tell me where the tank level is. If it's almost to the top of the overflow set the tank level at 1/2" under the top of the white overflow tube, Let me know what you find. Tom
