I can only drive my car 15 20 feet at a time. Torque converter?
I can only drive the car 15 20 feet at a time then it neutrals out and won't go into any gear. Turn off the car then turn it back on and you can go for another 15 20 feet. Could it be the torque converter?

I suspect 1st gear's clutch pack is shot. Regardless, you are likely looking at a rebuild or replacement. In the future, drop and clean the pan and magnet, change the filter, and refill with ATF every 30,000 miles. Then, the transmission will go the distance.
