Can I move out of Pennsylvania with my children after divorce
My husband and I are divorcing. I do not have any family in the state of Pa. I would like to move with my daughters to another state. Is this something I can negotiate. My husband is saying he will force us to stay in PA. This is out of spite. The grounds for divorce are proven adultery/multiple affairs, with witnesses that will come forward if necessary. He works 6 days a week and would be unable to spend any time with our daughters. To date, he has never been involved with their schooling or athletics.

It will depend on the judge and what you negotiate as part of the divorce settlement. If the court grants him a regular visitation schedule, then he can block a move.

You tell the court your plans and propose a visitation schedule according to which he would see the children at specified times: perhaps certain holidays and summer vacations on alternating years. The travel expenses: who pays what portion of them, is something that would also be specified.

The grounds for divorce are largely irrelevant virtually everywhere.

You with the divorce has to work out a child custody plan, and a child support plan. Yes he can ask that you not be allowed to leave the state. When I got custody of my son, I was not able to move out of a 25 mile area. Without her permission.

So yes it is very realistic that he can ask for this and it be awarded.
