    Gas valve is closed
    I replaced the thermocouple, now I have no gas coming through to lite it.
    I can't hear any gas trying to come through
    Any ideas?

    Thermocouple has no relationship to gas flow except when it is impinged by the flame. Are you sure you have the gas valve set to "pilot "? Main gas valve open? Did you disconnect the pilot gas line?

    If you are doing everything correctly as ma suggested and still no gas to pilot, disconnect the pilot tube from the gas valve and see if you get gas there when the pilot knob is depressed. If you get gas there, then most likely the pilot orifice at the other end of the tube is plugged and will need to be very carefully cleaned.
