    Need 220 but getting 200
I was trying to get 220v to a welder but with the 2 110v lines coming from the panel I'm only getting 200v. What am I doing wrong?

What is the voltage at the panel, both before and after breakers.

How far from panel are you running this.

That's the thing. I get 200 off both breakers before it leaves the panel. Its 108 I think, on each leg, but its 200 when I read between them. Their on the A and B phase but I can't get over 200 v off the both of them. Its ran about 50 ft though. Does their have to be a high leg or something. Its an industrial plant I'm working on.

    You have a 208V system.

    Are you an electrician?

You need to check the system to determine why the lower than normal voltage, may be low voltage supply from utility, may only need to change taps on a transformer.
