    Tail Bone
    Okay so my tail bone has been hurting for about 4 days now and I just took medicine to help the pain. It hurts right below the top of my butt crack, where the bone sort of sticks out. Does anyone know what is wrong? And what can I do to treat it?

    Unless you have been injured you might want a doctor to check you over for Pilonidal sinus. One of the few ailments that can affect the tail bone. Pilonidal cyst - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Thank you. There is no bruising. Should I go to the doctor very soon, or wait and see how it plays out?

    And could it be that I got scuba certified last weekend and the weight belt was digging into me there because my tank was pushing down. So, the tank was pushing on the weight belt, which was pushing on me. It hurts to sit down, stand up, push, and just in general. I took medicine like a half hour ago and it still hurts really bad. I really cannot take it.

    If over the counter medicine isn't helping to get the pain under control then, by all means, drop into urgent care or an ER

    Thank you, and if I do go to the doctor (because medicine doesn't do anything), what would they say, do, and give to me?
