New 3 speed ceiling fan switch and now it won't shut off.
I installed a new 3-speed ceiling fan switch and now it won't turn off. I have high, medium, low, but then instead of shutting off. It goes back to medium speed. I replaced the wires in the order I removed them: L=Black 1=Grey 2=Brown 3=Purple. No markings on the fan. Help
