    Physics Help Please!
    A person can jump a horizontal distance of
    2.3 m on Earth.
    a) How far could the person jump on the
    moon, where the free-fall acceleration is g/6
    and g = 9.81 m/s
    2
    ?
    Answer in units of m

    I think, jumping can be considered to be projectile and then, the jump distance becomes the range of projectile.

    Range is inversely proportional to the "acceleration due to gravity(g)"

    So,
    Range on earth/Range on moon = g on moon/g on earth

    This gives, the range on moon or the distance of jump on moon is 6 times that on earth
