    My father lives in the past because of generations of alcoholics in his life.
    What should a loved one not say to an alcoholic that could possibly put them into a relapse situation.

    "you are a stupid drunk and I hate you" sort of comes to mind. But it would take years of knowing someone to even start to say what this one person, thinks, what makes them do something, and even then, a alcoholic needs no real reason to do anything. Often a old song on the radiio is all it takes.
