    Hose Bib
This bib setup was already there when I purchased the house. Picture show it coming
Out of the wall. With two pipe clamps hold a rubber tubing in place. Then there is a long galvanized pipe that has a elbow up to the hose bib for the garden hose. Look terrible. See picture. I need to shorten up the connection. Maybe
Just a short pipe with some threading on it maybe 6" straight out of the wall.
I would like a normal hose bib, like the picture

    What is your suggestion.

I'll leave the actual plumbing to the plumbing experts but the 3rd picture showing what you call a normal hose bib does not appear to be a frost-free valve. If you are in an area that experiences temps below freezing temps, you should look into installing a frost-free valve.

Maybe the previous owner couldn't bend over too well and needed to get the valve over and up so he could reach it--? Who knows? Just make sure that those guys aren't laughing all the way to the bank.

The pipe coming out of wall goes to an elbow. Is that a threaded connection?

Yes but it terribly corroded. Also looks like someone paint it too.

Can u get to pipe on inside of house?

If u can, shut off water. Disconnect the short pcs of hose and unscrew pipe remaining.

On the inside use a PVC threaded adapter. Piece of PVC pipe to come through wall and a hose adapter on outside. Install hose bib. Turn on water.
