This question is not clear. There are 40 students in the second grade performing at a school dance? They are being placed in rows with students left to dance alone. Yet the question asks about a scene. Are there different number of rows per scene? Example: scene one has two rows and one extra student, scene two has three rows and two extra students, etc.
