    Apply G4 visa during pending I-485 green card processing
    My husband has applied for green card through an employer. Right now we have got an EAD and our I-485 is in pending state.

    He is getting an offer from World Bank. If he is getting the world bank job, he will get the G4 visa. I would like to know what would happen for our existing green card processing. I am working on EAD through my husband's green card processing.

    Is it advisable to change to G4 visa in this scenario. What are all the pros and cons of moving to G4 visa in this situation.

    Please advice.

    For one thing, you can't have G-4 status AND a green card. Not just due to tax implications... however with the G-4 visa you have to leave the country when your employment at the World bank ends.

    I don't know all the other details, so someone else will have to fill them in. A lot depends on your long term plans.
