Bryant heat pump continually failing 3 amp fuse on insid control board..
I have a Bryant heat pump model # 663CJX036000 ABAA. This Unit is both heating and cooling. The inside blower is a furnace. The 3 amp fuse is continually failing when the when the unit makes a call for heat or cool to the heat pump. I have, in the beginning of 2012, replaced the control board, transformer, all new capacitors, the contact on the pump, and the defrost board. When I replaced the defrost board on the pump the problem was fixed until recently when the fuse began to fail again. I called for service. The young man said that he charged the unit and called for help from a colleague. His boss said it was the wire from pump to control board. He never showed back up to complete the job. So I replaced the wiring myself. This still did not fix the problem. Could the start relay (contact) cause this problem?
