    Credit disputes
I got a copy of my credit report from Experian and disputed a few entries on my report. One accout I disputed was a credit card from a company I never heard of. A few days later I got an update on my credit report saying The results of your investigation of information in your Experian personal credit report are now available for online viewing. I went to their site and their update said "Status:
Account charged off/Past due 150 days. $910 written off. $910 past due as of Mar 2007.

I sent them another letter stating I never heard of this company nor had a credit card with them and after a week I recevied this new notice. Status:
Account charged off/Past due 150 days. $910 written off. $910 past due as of Mar 2007.

This is their so called investigation? What was the name of the credit card? What did I buy with it? What kind of so called investigation is this? If I try to call Experian all I get is a machine transferring me from one dept to another then disconnecting me before I ever get to talk to a real person. I have also been harassed my another company saying I owe them 10,000 for a car I bought in 1983. This guy was extreamly rude and called me 30 times in 2 days while my mother was in the hospital in PA with life threating surgery. I told him I had gotten injured and filled that under bancrupcy in 1985 but they still kept harassing me daily. The lawyer I used didn't even have my bancrupcy files from over 20 years ago and how these clowns got my info I have no idea. I got a hold of the court I filed bancrupcy in finally and after I gave them my case number they stopped calling me. I still can not believe they would try to collect a bancrupt car loan from 1981 though in 2007. That's 26 friggin years for christ sake. Are the debt collectors that greedy for money?

All they need is for one person to say they will settle or even pay one cent and the statute of limitations will reopen. Once its reopened it won't matter how old the debt is, it is again current. Do not offer the pay anything or to settle.

I guess you misunderstood my problem. My problem is I did not ever have an account with this credit card company and when I disputed it, they basically said, yes you did and that's that. I sent a request for the credit report to investigate it again and all they did was to repost the same thing. How do I prove I never had an account with the credit card company to begin with? I never even heard of them and I want it removed from my credit record. I also have a credit card bill for 600.00 that was discharged then sold to another company who has listed the same debt so now I have my credit report showing the same debt under 2 separate listings. I had back surgery and ended up charging medicine on my credit card then became disabled and couldn't pay the bill. I now am permantly disabled and they had a judgement against me but I don't own anything they can take and my disability is just enough to live on.They were both over 6 years old now and the Statue of limitations in DE is 3 years. Can I have these all removed since they are over the statue of limitations? I do not care about getting credit, this is effecting my insurance premim though!

As for the car loan, I legally had that dismissed through bankruptcy in 85 so I couldn't care less about that. I just mentioned that because of how greedy some people are that they would buy a account that is 25 years old probably for 20.00 thinking they can get 10 grand profit from it. It was legally discharged but they were so greedy at a chance to profit from someone's loss they bought the account before researching it.
