I got a copy of my credit report from Experian and disputed a few entries on my report. One accout I disputed was a credit card from a company I never heard of. A few days later I got an update on my credit report saying The results of your investigation of information in your Experian personal credit report are now available for online viewing. I went to their site and their update said "Status:
Account charged off/Past due 150 days. $910 written off. $910 past due as of Mar 2007.
I sent them another letter stating I never heard of this company nor had a credit card with them and after a week I recevied this new notice. Status:
Account charged off/Past due 150 days. $910 written off. $910 past due as of Mar 2007.
This is their so called investigation? What was the name of the credit card? What did I buy with it? What kind of so called investigation is this? If I try to call Experian all I get is a machine transferring me from one dept to another then disconnecting me before I ever get to talk to a real person. I have also been harassed my another company saying I owe them 10,000 for a car I bought in 1983. This guy was extreamly rude and called me 30 times in 2 days while my mother was in the hospital in PA with life threating surgery. I told him I had gotten injured and filled that under bancrupcy in 1985 but they still kept harassing me daily. The lawyer I used didn't even have my bancrupcy files from over 20 years ago and how these clowns got my info I have no idea. I got a hold of the court I filed bancrupcy in finally and after I gave them my case number they stopped calling me. I still can not believe they would try to collect a bancrupt car loan from 1981 though in 2007. That's 26 friggin years for christ sake. Are the debt collectors that greedy for money?
