EtG after multiple drinking episodes
Hello, I have a question regarding EtG detection after more than one drinking episode. I know there are a lot of EtG questions on here, but it seems most of them deal with "I drank __ drinks, will I pass an EtG in __ hours?" I am trying to find out how EtG accumluates after consecutive days drinking. Specifically, I am 170 lb, 27 y/o Male. On Friday at 10pm I drank 36 oz (corona light), then on Saturday I drank 375 ml of wine at 11pm. I know there was a small amount of EtG still left from Friday's consumption and more was formed on Saturday. Will I be able to pass a 100ng cutoff EtG on Monday at 4pm? Thank you so much.

EtG is not cumulative. It does not store in your system so the beer is not a factor. You drank slightly less than 3 standard drinks (US) on Saturday which allows about 40 hours EtG clearance time. In your case the alcohol was right at .5 g/kg of body weight and clearance time shows in the range of 22-35 hours, those figure reflect 100 ng cutoff. That is still a close call.

Thank you so much for the quick response. To clarify how EtG does not accumulate, I am curious because on Friday I drank 3 standard drinks, so 24 hours later I would possibly test positive. So if I drank more on Saturday, before the EtG was below cutoff, wouldn't more be created and added on top of the (small) amount still remaining from Friday's drinking?

I think we're saying the same thing. EtG just like alcohol is additive. That is if you have one drink and 45 minutes later start a second there will still be some alcohol present from the first. The alcohol content spike up again but only slightly higher and then begins elimination. Viewing as a graph line it is peak, valley, peak again and then continuing elimination.

So I drank 2-3 beers on Friday night which was about 6 drinks. Then on Saturday I had about 1-2 drinks and I believe my BAC was zero by midnight on Saturday, since I had so little on Saturday. I have a EtG test with a 100ng testing on Wednesday at 6pm. Will I pass?
