    Antibiotic for cut?
    I was hospitolized for staph six months ago.Today I cut myself while working at home and was wondering if I should take an antibiotic to prevent reinfection?

    No. You should never take an antibiotic unless prescribed as frequent use could cause the bacteria in your body to become immune to the medication, increasing your risk of getting super bacteria that is harder to kill.
