Can a residential window style air conditioner be recharged?
I just bought this a/c unit and when installing I screwed up and screwed through one of the lines and all r-22 coolant leaked out.. I can get small hole fixed but can it be recharged?. It is a Samsung 16,000btu approximately.

Yes to the recharge but if I wqere you I would seek an ON SITE professional or in some cases depending upon where you live service company's allow you to do a carry in and then you save the service call plus removal.

NOTE The copper tube will need to be repaired with silver brazing alloy. I usually use number 15 stick alloy with a oxygen and acetylene torch. Then recharged to factory spec.
