    Kids animation about a girl looking for a flower?
    Hey, I'm sorry this is so vague but my friends and I are going mad trying to remember this film so any help would be much appreciated.

    All we remember is it's a kids animation that we used to watch mid-1980s to early 1990s, so I don't know exactly when it came out. It was about a girl searching for a certain flower and the most memorable thing about it were the sound effects which were really, really bad.

    If anyone manages to get it from that I'll be amazed, but its worth a shot. Thanks in advance :)

    I remember a film my father bought me which had a girl that would extract powers from flowersand in one scene she saves a little boy from a fire. I cannot remember how it ends except that she finds the flower she has been looking for. If you ever track this film down please post it on her.

    The animation turned out to be called Angel, a dub of Hana no Ko Lunlun - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia although, like you, I remember it being a film and not a series.
    There's some episodes on YouTube so you can check if that's the one you remember too.

    I am gobsmacked. My father must have bought me a VHS with the first episode on because I watched the same VHS over and over again and if I'd seen a series I would remember more than I do. I am so grateful that you replied. I have revisited my childhood this morning watching the clips on YouTube. I am going to continue my search and find the complete episode. With sincere thanks, Laura

    There was a film adaptation called 'Flower Angel' dubbed in English which I used to watch as a child, I loved this movie so much (it belonged to a friend of mine) that my friend actually gave me the video. I am dying to see it again but it doesn't seem to be around anywhere and my mum cleverly decided to throw out the video when I left for University. Thanks Mum. Anyone that spots the movie - not the series as I never watched the series and the voices are all wrong and the music is wrong etc - please please please let me know where it is, I have been looking for a long time!
